Oklahoma’s Ventura Refining Uses Ingenious, Inc. for Simulation Training

Ventura Refining of Weathorford, OK, in partnership with Plant Process Equipment Inc, sent its ESH Manager, Bernie Romos, for extensive training on a dynamic simulator. Bernie will be training operators at this refinery for the Naphtha Hydro Treater and Catalytic Reforming Unit retrofit at Ventura. For this training Ingenious Inc partnered with Honeywell and used their ShadowPlant® Hydrotreater and reformer Simulators. Bharat Kamdar, President of Ingenious and Wayne Stephens, Simulator Trainer for Ingenious, provided the intensive training on the two units. Mr. Romos, who has over 30 years experience in refineries & GTL plants, stated “this is going to be an excellent training tool for us [Ventura] for new and older operators alike”. Ingenious provided these cost effective generic models for use in training prior to the plant restart, in their Houston offices. More such training is planned in the near future for other units.
