IOCL signs multi year, multi site CHEMCAD Process Simulation Software contract with (Axiom) Ingenious Inc.

Mumbai, 30th May 2007: Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s (IOCL) refineries at Panipat and Mathura and their R&D Center at Faridabad have signed major multi user, multi year license contracts for the CHEMCAD Process Simulation Software. The purchase was made through Axiom Engineers Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ingenious Inc USA.

“Using CHEMCAD, IOCL’s process engineers would be able to simulate new and existing processes or problems that occur in their refinery operations, increase productivity and efficiency from product development though production, de-bottleneck processes and manage energy more efficiently”, said Gautam Pradhan, Business Development Manager - Asia Pacific. Ashish Nag, Dy. General Manager (Tech Services), Panipat Refinery said, “CHEMCAD would be particularly useful for the design and rating of process lines, process equipment, pressure vessels, distillation columns, safety and relief valves and other unit operations”. Mr. Pradhan further added, “IOCL’s R&D Center would be able to reduce their design time in their endeavor to develop cost-effective processes and provide better technological support to their various divisions”.
